Measure the metal duct opening in the floor, not the faceplate you are lifting out. Width first (the shorter dimension), then length, and match that to the duct opening row in Specifications above. The faceplate is deliberately larger: it overhangs the hole by roughly three quarters of an inch on every side to cover the cut edge.
Brown, powder-coated. A warm matte brown that sits quietly against wood, tile and carpet, and the product photos show the actual finish. Some older listing titles for this register still say white: that is a title error we are correcting, and what ships is brown. If you need a white vent, look at our wall vents and return grilles instead.
Yes. Light scuff with 220-grit, wipe clean, prime with a bonding primer, then paint. Most standard interior paints hold well on the powder-coat. Keep paint off the damper lever and the blade edges so the damper still moves freely.

These are well made, and look good. (Pretty standard vent covers - nothing fancy.) If yours are old, dented, rusty, etc - these will be a great replacement.
We replaced the factory plastic vents in our camper because well there crap! So these we are extremely Happy with! They don't have screw holes but fit with a very low profile so my boots don't catch them. Be sure to measure the inside of the vent for a snug fit!
Not as wide as originals in RV but they work and are much sturdier than plastic originals. Just had to drill holes for mounting screws.
I only returned it because my vent is now bigger in my new kitchen. It was sturdy and it was a great price
