10" x 6" Wall Supply Vent, white. This is the cover for a supply duct opening in a wall or ceiling, the side the air blows out of. It is sized to the metal duct opening behind it, not to the old faceplate, which is larger and laps over the hole. Matte white is the only finish in this range, so everything you order matches.

Screws are in the box. Hold the vent over the wall or ceiling opening, mark the two screw holes, then drive them into the duct flange or drywall anchors. The faceplate overhangs the opening on all four sides. Set airflow with the damper levers behind the louvers.

Wipe clean with a damp microfiber. Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh solvents to keep the powder-coat finish in shape. Keep the damper tracks clear of paint so the blades still glide.

Solid heavy-duty steel with a matte white powder-coat. The faceplate does not flex as you drive the screws, so it sits flat against the wall.

Smooth-glide dampers behind the louvers let you direct or restrict air across three zones, not just open and shut the whole face.

Wall or ceiling

The faceplate is symmetric and sits flush either way up, and the mounting screws are in the box.

Install

Two screws out, two screws in.

Comes off and goes back on with a screwdriver. Nothing else needed.

Measure the duct

The metal opening in the wall or ceiling, not the old faceplate. Width first (shorter dimension), then length.

Take the old one off

Back out the two screws and lift the faceplate away. Clear any old caulk or paint from the opening edge.

Mark and screw

Hold the vent over the opening, mark the holes, then drive the screws into the duct flange or drywall anchors.

Set the dampers

Slide the levers behind the louvers to direct or restrict air across the three zones.

It's everything you hoped a vent cover would be....

Recently the HVAC people gave me a new vent in my wall, and it sat there, a glaring opening, without a vent cover. Apparently new vents are created by the people who create them, and they do not provide vent covers. But apparently also when they do this, they create things in standard sizings. Thus I was glad when I measured the opening to be 4 x 10 inches and discovered this vent cover was actually BIGGER than that, but meant for that specific opening size. This thing came with some nice plastic anchors and I gave it to my contractor who easily installed it covering the new vent hole. It looks exactly like all the other standard vent covers in my house, and in this case, standardization is beauty. And the vent openings are plenty large for the air to escape with ease. So, good product. Glad I had the chance to review it, because it was the vent cover I needed it to be.

Perfect replacement for a register cover

This vent cover is the perfect size, and is great replacement however the mechanics to open and close it don't work super great. It's just a plastic clip and I am worried it will easily break. But so far so good.
